About me
Welcome to my personal website! I’m Giovana Gavidia, a computer science engineer, currently studying the Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Polytechnic University of Catalonia and working as a biomedical researcher at B2SLab. My academic and professional knowledge since its beginning has been in the biomedical and computer vision environment, it has familiarized me with many of the challenges involved in clinical diagnostic support today and the development of national and international R&D projects related with these fields. Research interests:
I’m focussed on the research and development of decision support system based on machine learning, linear regression methods and mixed models to clinical diagnosis of diseases, such as, Alzheimer’s disease, prostate cancer, liver fibrosis and other pathologies. At B2SLab, we have great interest in becoming part of novel projects related with the statistical analysis, computer-aided diagnosis, artificial intelligence and other fields related with Biomedicine and Bioinformatics in order to transmit our skills.
