B2Slab’s researcher María Maqueda won one of the three Specific Oral Presentation awards of the 1st Biomed PhD Day Symposium with her talk Independent Components of Gene Expression in Endurance Runners, in the Bioinformatics category.
This symposium was organised by the Biomedicine PhD Program team of the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and took place on December 7th at the Campus de la Alimentació de Torribera. It was addressed to Master and PhD students, who presented their works in the form of a poster or oral presentation on the topics of Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Immunology, Neuroscience, Cancer, Metabolism, Physiology and physipathology.
Several renowned speakers as Dr. Manel Esteller, Dr. Antoni Trill or Dr. Patrick Aloy also did workshops and lectures on subjects of general and specific interests to the PhD and Biomed students.
